Statement of  Purpose

Mission: To use our gifts and talents to serve others in need, as faithful stewards of God’s Grace (I Peter 4:10).

Mt. Calvary CDC of Jersey City will provide Community and Economic Development services such as: Food Pantry/Hunger-Free Programs, Educational programs, Child Care, Health and Wellness, Social Services /Human Services, Cultural/ Recreational, Senior Programs, Career Development, Computer Literacy, and Financial Literacy. The primary target audience is low to moderate income residents in Northern NJ (with an emphasis on the Greenville section of Jersey City in Hudson County, NJ)

 The purpose of the corporation is to engage in any lawful act or activity for which corporations may be organized under the laws of the State of New Jersey. Said corporation is organized exclusively for charitable, religious, educational, and scientific purposes, including, for such purposes, the making of distributions to organizations that qualify as exempt organizations under section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code, or the corresponding section of any future federal tax code.
